«Anna 0106/26, 27» Tablecloth

The photographs provided here were taken at various stages of development with different lighting by different photographers using different photographic equipment.  Once this project is washed, blocked, and dressed, these photographs will be replaced with those of better quality.


«Anna 0106/26, 27» is an oval tablecloth which features some star and floral shapes and even cables.  Its construction is pretty unusual:  The cloth is started round from the center for 30 cm (12 in) or so, knit in rows on one side of the center, in rows on the opposite side of the center, then round again until completion.  Such construction requires a minimum of two threads.


The estimated finished weight is 350 g (12.3 oz), and it is about 70 cm (27.6 in) by 115 cm (45.3 in).  The pattern calls for 2‑mm (UK 14, US 0) double-point needles; but I used 3‑mm (UK 11) needles.  (3 mm is between a US 2 and a US 3; there is no size US 2½.)


Here are corrections I made to the pattern:


  1. Usually a missing pattern line implies a plain knit round.  In Chart A pattern line 7 was omitted in error; proceed directly from Round 6 to Round 9.
